Yes, that's me in the Sublime Swimwear ad in the St. Albert Gazette, St. City News and the Edmonton Examiner. To see pictures of real women in un-retouched photos visit the Sublime Swimwear website at: www.sublimeswim.com
Why did I do it? You could call it mid-forties craziness! Stepping out of my comfort zone was a great experience. It is liberating to say, I accept myself as I am today. I also think it is healthy to see real women of varying ages, racial background and body shapes. I donated my modelling fee to the St. Albert Food Bank and got to to meet a diverse group of wonderful women.
Meese Adventure:
I had fun modelling the Second Yoga Jeans for Meese Clothing in Fall 2008. The ad appeared in the Edmonton Journal. These jeans are very comfortable for street wear. In a pinch, I have worn them in lieu of the usual Yoga pants for a Yoga class and they worked great. These Second Yoga Jeans come in various cuts & denim finishes. Visit Tressa, Kim & Jillian at Meese Clothing, on Perron Street, to select a style that works for you. I enjoyed more modelling fun in April 2009 modelling outfits for Meese clothing at the St. Albert Spring Trade Show....hmmm the catwalk is harder work than I first thought.
Yoga's roots began in India thousands of years ago. It is a comprehensive system linking body, breath, mind, intelligence, wisdom & spirit. Yoga is a collection of knowledge encompassing many areas such as mental & physical health, nutrition, art, history, science, nature and philosophy. Yoga is not a religion and there are Yoga practitioners of various faiths.
Over the centuries, Yoga has been influenced by other countries, such as China, Europe and North America. Although there has been continuing evolution and change in Yoga, many of the ancient Yoga Sutras of Patanjali still hold true in today's world. Patanjali was an Indian scholar who organized Yoga wisdom into a concise format.
